Bangladesh Project

Our Mission

In 1997, Craig and I, through the Aloha Medical Mission, alohamedicalmission.org/, partnered with an extended Bangladesh family to start a one-room clinic for the poor.  We saw malnutrition, blindness, infections, domestic abuse, and other afflictions associated with unemployment, homelessness, and lack of opportunity and education. We created an NGO, called Aloha Social Services Bangladesh, http://www.alohabangladesh.org dedicated to improving lives in rural Bangladesh.  In partnership with local and international donors, the clinic has grown into a hospital, school, microcredit loan program, and housing projects.

We travel to ASSB sites yearly with volunteers. If you can help this effort either financially or in person, visit the websites above or contact me.  Volunteers pay their own airfare. ASSB provides food and lodging while in Bangladesh.

Seeing this small grassroots partnership blossom into helping thousands of people live healthier and happier lives has been a life changing experience for Craig and me.  Join us.
